Turkish Abstract: Enerji tuketimi ve ekonomik buyume iliskisi gecmisten gunumuze gerek teorik gerekse uygulama yonunden onemli tartisma konularindan birisidir. Gunluk hayatimizda vazgecilmez bir yere sahip olan enerji tuketimi, her gecen gun daha onemli hale gelmektedir. Enerji ihtiyacinin artma yonumlu olmasina karsin bazi enerji kaynaklarinin tukenebilir olusu, ayrica bircok ulke icin disa bagimliligin sozkonusu olmasi, uretimde cevresel veya ekolojik tesirlerin varligi enerji konusunu daha onemli ve hassas konuma tasimaktadir.Bu calismada enerji kullanimi ile ekonomik buyume iliskileri ile ilgili cesitli ulke grubu ve tek bir ulke calismalari incelenmis ve bu iliskinin yonu genellestirilmis ve degerlendirilmistir.English Abstract: Energy consumption - economic growth nexus is one of the hot research topics over the last four decades. Energy consumption becomes an indispensable part of daily life as socio-economic environment of the world nations advances. Moreover, some points such as main energy sources are not renewable, many countries are dependent from import of energy resources, as well as environmental and ecological issues makes energy consumption much more important and sensitive topic. In this paper, we briefly review the empirical studies on the energy consumption economic growth relationship in the case of both single country and group of countries, as well as present main four hypotheses of this relationship and their policy implications.
