Abstract
Saint-Denys Garneau publie en 1937 Regards et Jeux dans lespace. Cest le seul recueil dont il ait autorise la parution en faisant partie du groupe qui fonde La Releve, revue qui sinteresse a la litterature, a lart et a la religion. Avec la fondation de cette revue la poesie quebecoise commence a parler du gou?t litteraire ou culturel de lindividu plu?tot que les angoisses ou les desirs de la collectivite. Chez Saint-Denys Garneau les modeles classiques sont abandonnes au profit du vers libre. Cest la naissance dun nouveau langage poetique. Dans les numeros de La Releve on peut lire les premiers poemes dAnne Hebert qui a ete influencee par Saint-Denys Garneau. Mais ses poemes ont souvent parus dans les revues comme Le Canada francais et La Nouvelle Revue canadienne. Anne Hebert publie son premier recueil de poemes au debut des annees 1940. Ce ne sera quavec son deuxieme recueil, en 1953, quelle simpose vraiment. Le Tombeau de rois donne a lire un langage mai?trise. Roland Giguere fonde et anime lui-me?me les Editions Erta en 1949. Il y publie ses recueils et des livres dautres poetes qui sinteressent au surrealisme. En effet, chez lui linfluence du surrealisme est decisive dans sa poesie comme dans sa vie en tant quediteur. Il introduit ainsi ce courant litteraire dAndre Breton dans la poesie quebecoise.
