Abstract
Dans cet article, sont présentés les résultats de trois investigations chronologiques des loess du Pléistocène moyen de Normandie, réalisées en étroite collaboration avec Jean-Pierre Lautridou : (1) la datation TL de la séquence loessique de Saint-Romain (Wintle et al., 1984), (2) la stratigraphie TL des séquences de Glos, Goderville, Saint-Romain et Saint-Pierre-lès-Elbeuf (Balescu, 1988) et (3) la datation IRSL de la séquence de Saint-Pierre-lès-Elbeuf (Cliquet et al., 2009). Les données IRSL obtenues à Saint-Pierre-lès-Elbeuf confirment le cadre chronostratigraphique de Jean-Pierre Lautridou (1985). Cependant, la position chronologique du nouveau paléosol « Elbeuf inter III/IV », découvert en 2004 par Jean-Pierre Lautridou, entre les paléosols Elbeuf III et IV, doit encore être précisée. Les datations IRSL en cours dans le laboratoire de luminescence de Montréal devraient apporter des éléments de réponse nécessaires.
