Le changement climatique est un enjeu majeur pour lequel la population mondiale doit se responsabiliser. Les Québécois démontrent une grande préoccupation pour ce phénomène planétaire tout en affirmant en faire assez pour la cause. Cette croyance ne se reflète pas dans leurs habitudes, choix de transports ou de consommation. Comment au Québec la communication publique peut-elle inciter les citoyens à réduire de manière plus importante leurs émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES) et ainsi réduire l’écart entre ce qu’ils disent et ce qu’ils font? Cette communication doit nécessairement viser une meilleure compréhension du phénomène et un engagement des Québécois à diminuer leurs émissions de GES, notamment dans les secteurs du transport et des déchets, sans y associer le changement climatique, lequel est empreint de connotations négatives.
