Abstract
Cette etude a comme objectif de mieux comprendre comment les enseignants peuvent faire face au stress en milieu de travail, surtout dans les situations qui sont hors de leur controle. Nous avons utilise un protocole de type qualitatif et avons procede a l'analyse de contenu de 20 entretiens semi-structures menes aupres d'enseignants au Quebec. Les participants ont complete un instrument de stress percu, le PSS-14. Les strategies de coping emergeantes regroupent l'equilibre de vie, le soutien social, la modification de la situation, l'ajustement psychologique, l'evitement et la resignation. Les resultats suggerent que les enseignants ayant obtenu un score plus bas sur le PSS-14 utilisent davantage le lâcher-prise, une strategie d'ajustement psychologique, que les moins stresses qui utilisent plus frequemment l'evitement et la resignation.
