Abstract

En este artículo se develan las principales características epistémicas de los métodos educativos de la educación entregada en la familia mapuche de comunidades de la región de La Araucanía en Chile. Se considera el concepto de epistemología en cuanto a la producción de conocimientos prácticos, técnicos, simbólicos y espirituales, como crítica epistemológica de la monoculturalidad del currículum escolar. La metodología utilizada es la investigación cualitativa y se apoya en la Teoría Fundamentada. Los resultados dan cuenta de métodos educativos de aprendizaje y enseñanza de contenidos sobre persona y sociedad, ubicación temporal, territorial y orientación espacial. Se concluye que la formación se organiza considerando métodos propios construidos a partir de la racionalidad del conocimiento educativo mapuche.
