Abstract
Dans cet article, nous proposons une réflexion sur les stratégies de communication et de promotion de produits de santé (médicaments prescrits et non prescrits) de la part des entreprises pharmaceutiques. Après avoir mis en lumière un certain nombre de tendances associées à la consommation de médicaments, nous analysons les stratégies des pharmaceutiques en insistant sur cinq axes : a) la création de nouvelles niches de consommation ; b) la fragmentation des discours sur les maladies connues ; c) la prolongation des cycles de vie des produits ; d) l’introduction de produits de haute valeur tant du point de vue technologique que commercial (médicaments biotechnologiques) ; et e) la récupération des crises liées aux médicaments dans une logique concurrentielle. L’étude de ces axes se fera sous une optique d’analyse des stratégies rhétoriques mises en place par l’industrie pharmaceutique dans un contexte mondialisé.
