Abstract
Le présent document se veut une étude géo-cartogaphique la plus complète possible d'un territoire relativement restreint : la partie aval de la rivière du Moulin incluse dans les limites municipales de la ville de Chicoutimi, soit une superficie d'environ 2,2 km carrés. Il est nécessaire d'affirmer que la meilleure base à obtenir avant d'effectuer n'importe quels travaux d'aménagment est la connaissance du territoire à organiser et ce, sous plusieurs aspects (l'assiette biophysique, l'état de l'environnement, les contrainte de mise en valeur) En fournissant un tel outil de travail aux principaux intervenants, le but de ce document se trouvera atteint. Un autre objectif de cette recherche est de faciliter l'information et la diffusion des caractérisitques de ce milieu naturel unique en milieu urbain. Par conséquent, ce document est la phase préparatoire à un aménagement polyvalent de type récréo-éducatif intégré au territoire circonscrit. Toutefois, il est déjà possible d'avancer que ce secteur possède un potentiel récréatif et éducatif élevé en hébergeant des sites de grand intérêt interprétatif aux plans biophysique, culturel et historique...
