Abstract
L'actualité québécoise verse de plus en plus dans le dossier de l'énergie. Le printemps 2005 fut « éolien » avec beaucoup de candeur et d'espoir. L'automne s'inscrit sous le signe du pétrole dont le prix sème le désespoir. À travers ces émotions contradictoires, la question du gaz naturel transcende le débat québécois sur l'énergie. Débat qui attend patiemment la politique gouvernementale promise à la suite de la vaste consultation réalisée par la Commission parlementaire sur l'avenir énergétique du Québec. À cet effet, des choix collectifs furent déjà effectués au Québec, tels que le rejet de la centrale Suroît et l'appel d'offres d'achat de 2000 mégawatts d'énergie éolienne. D'autres choix seront à faire bientôt.
