Abstract
In late 2010 and early 2011 Queensland was hit by some of the worst floods on record, followed by the devastating Cyclone Yasi. The result was ruined communities, stagnant economic growth in the first quarter of 2011 and a fundamental rethink of flood and home and contents insurance.
