Abstract
The Royal New Zealand Navy survey ship HMNZS Monowai (1975-1998) - commanded by the author - was tasked to resurvey Dusky Sound in 1994/1995. The survey area included Pickersgill Harbour, a small harbour on the south side of the fiord. An inset plan of the harbour from Cook's survey of 1773 (with some later soundings by Vancouver) had been reproduced on various navigational charts of the area until the mid 1990s. It is believed that this was the last part of any current navigational chart directly attributable to James Cook. Ultimately the Monowai survey displaced Cook's work for navigational use but the Navy went to unusual lengths to publish Cook's original chartlet on the new chart derived from the Monowai survey and it was not for another ten years that Cook's work finally disappeared from current navigational charts.

Full frame distilled prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
