Abstract
The article deals with the characteristic features of the new teacher induction in Canada. The author appeals to foreign experience in search of effective forms of supporting new teachers. Special attention is paid to the New Teacher Induction Program that is required for all teachers new to Ontario's publicly funded schools. The article presents the analysis of all the components of the Program: orientation, mentoring, professional development and training and new teachers' performance appraisal.
