Le sentiment d’efficacité personnel (SEP) (Bandura, 2007) a une influence sur les pratiques enseignantes ainsi que sur l’apprentissage des élèves et le stage offre une occasion privilégiée aux futurs enseignants de le développer (Androzzi, 2011). Cette étude a pour but de présenter le changement, chez les stagiaires, du SEP relié aux compétences professionnelles des enseignants à la suite d’un stage. Les données ont été recueillies à l’aide du SEP-EPS (Grenier, Gagnon, Monfette, Gosselin, 2012) auprès de 91 étudiants en formation à l’enseignement de l’éducation physique de l’Université du Québec à Montréal. Les résultats démontrent que le stage semble être un moment propice pour le développement du SEP, quels que soient l’année de formation des stagiaires, la durée du stage et le milieu d’accueil. Le SEP en regard des compétences reliées à l’adaptation de l’enseignement aux besoins particuliers des élèves et à la planification de l’enseignement ont été plus particulièrement développées.
