Con la finalidad de evaluar el grado de cumplimiento de la Norma para Sistemas Sostenibles de Producción Ganadera en diferentes tipologías de productores de Río Blanco, Nicaragua, se realizó una encuesta semiestructurada a 63 fincas de un total de 288 fincas que entregan la leche a Prolacsa, mediante esta encuesta se obtuvo información general de la finca, datos socioeconómicos y datos técnicos de la finca, con lo cual se realizó un análisis de conglomerados utilizando tres variables: área de la finca, producción, y hato ganadero. Como resultado de este análisis de conglomerados se obtuvo fincas pequeñas, medianas; y grandes, estadísticamente diferentes (p<0,0001). Seguido de la tipificación, se trabajó con 7 fincas de cada conglomerado a las que se evaluó el cumplimiento de los 5 principios de la norma con sus respectivos criterios mediante observación directa en campo. Los resultados mostraron que no existe diferencia significativa entre los diferentes grados de cumplimiento de la tipología de fincas (p=0,2924). Sin embargo, las fincas pequeñas y medianas presentan mayor cumplimiento de criterios relacionados a la conservación de los recursos naturales, lo que las convierte en fincas más sostenibles y con mayor potencial para acceder al sistema de certificación de la Red de Agricultura Sostenible.
