El presente trabajo investigativo tiene por objeto realizar un analisis de la relacion de la Familia con el centro Educativo y su incidencia en el rendimiento academico en los estudiantes de tercero y cuarto ano de educacion basica de la Escuela Fiscal Mixta “Dominios de Canada” de la parroquia Santiago de Quito, canton Colta, provincia de Chimborazo durante el ano escolar 2005 – 2006. Esta investigacion es una compilacion de datos de 40 sujetos investigados, con la aplicacion de las encuestas y la confrontacion de los resultados obtenidos me ha permitido conocer que no existen buenas relaciones entre la familia y el centro educativo lo que influye en el rendimiento academico de los educandos. En las discusiones se procede al analisis exhaustivo del sustento cientifico relacionado al problema investigado y a dar respuestas a cada una de las preguntas formuladas en la guia, tambien se aplico la formula del Ji cuadrado a las tablas 22a, 26a y 27a.
