Les mutations vécues présentement dans le domaine de l’accès au savoir invitent les professionnels de l’information à réfléchir à différentes alternatives pour conserver la mission traditionnelle des bibliothèques. Or, au moment où la médiation numérique gagne du terrain dans les bibliothèques, nous voyons une augmentation de la vision ludique des interrelations sur le Web. Maintenant désignée sous le terme de « gamification », cette tendance s’inscrit dans une grande mouvance qui perçoit la bibliothèque comme un terrain de jeux intellectuels où est valorisé l’apprentissage alternatif. C’est dans cette approche qu’au cours des deux dernières années, nous avons conçu plusieurs projets de jeux en ligne pour la médiation numérique. Que ce soit avec des jeux d’accroche, de médiation ou des jeux sérieux, les jeux en ligne sont de puissants outils de motivation pour promouvoir les services et les produits.
