Abstract
원주식과 교차상장주식 간의 가격수렴의 과정은 불연속일 수 있다. 동일통화환산 가격차이가 충분하다면 차익거래에 의해 수렴속도가 빠를 것이고, 그렇지 않다면 느릴 것이다. 환언하면, 교차상장주식이 원주식에 대해 갖는 프리미엄의 시간에 걸친 움직임은 임계치를 상회할 때(외국면)와 아닐 때(내국면)의 양국면으로 대별된다. 이때의 임계치는 차익거래의 거래비용 및 위험프리미엄 등이 포함된 실효손익분기차액이 되겠다. 이를 계량모형화하기 위해서 Harris et al.(1995, 2002)의 선형오차수정모형을 Balky and Fomby(1997)의 임계오차수정모형으로 확장한 후 토론토 주식거래소(Toronto Stock Exchange)에 상장된 캐나다 기업들의 원주식과 뉴욕주식거래소(New York Stock Exchange)에 상장된 교차상장주식의 가격탐색에 대한 거래소별 상대적 기여도(정보지분)를 추정한다. NYSE의 가격탐색에 대한 상대적 영향력이 시간에 걸쳐 증대됨을 볼 수 있다. 또한, 추정된 외국면 정보지분과 차익거래 임계차액은 내부정보의 상대적 척도와, 시장마찰, 유동성 및 기업수준 특질에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 보인다.
