Trata-se de descrever o processo de criação e desenvolvimento inicial do jornal Beijo da rua, no final da década de 1980. A publicação foi idealizada por uma equipe multidisciplinar durante o I Encontro Nacional de Prostitutas, ocorrido no âmbito de uma organização não-governamental, no Rio de Janeiro,. O Beijo permanece em circulação, com versão eletrônica desde 2004. São utilizados os conceitos de comunicação comunitária e mídia cidadã na análise do jornal, colocando em cena alguns dos elementos que compõem essas práticas comunicacionais.
