L'Enquete Menages Deplacements de Laval 2011, realisee selon la methodologie nationale elaboree par le CERTU, est une EDVM (enquete deplacements villes moyennes) centree autour du Pays de Laval et de Loiron. Ce territoire, compose des 35 communes du Pays de Laval et de Loiron et de 74 communes autour de ce pays (pour une population de 223 000 habitants), a fait l'objet d'une enquete par telephone. L'EMD de Laval permet de connaitre la mobilite, restreinte aux jours ouvrables, des individus (de 11 ans et plus) qui appartiennent a un menage residant dans les 109 communes de la zone d'etude. Les 2 699 menages enquetes sont caracterises par leur lieu de residence et le nombre de voitures a leur disposition. Les 3 197 individus interroges l'ont principalement ete sur leurs caracteristiques socio-demographiques et leur utilisation des modes de transport (individuels et collectifs). Des 11 717 deplacements, on connait leurs heures et lieux de depart et d'arrivee, leur distance, leur duree, leur motif et les modes de transport utilises.
