Abstract
Le développement du numérique et d’internet a accentué les faiblesses structurelles de l’économie du journalisme et augmenté les concurrences autour de l’attention des publics. À partir d’une analyse de discours fondée à la fois sur les positions institutionnelles et officielles du groupe de médias et de communication canadien Québecor, et à partir des entretiens réalisés en 2011 et 2012 avec des personnes travaillant dans le groupe, l’auteur cherche à comprendre comment ce groupe médiatique et les acteurs qui le composent appréhendent leur public comme un ensemble de consommateurs.
