Abstract
The author describes the major tendencies in the development of Galich trading quarter taxed population's landownership from the second quarter of the XVIth century till the beginning of the XVIIth century basing on published acts and the materials of scribe documentation, determines the possible interconnection between the number of cultivated areas (hay meadows) and the number of cattle and small cattle, which belonged to Galich trading quarter people, traces the course and summarizes the results of the struggle between black trading quarter, ancestral landowners and landlords for debatable lands.
