Abstract
Certaines lignes de conduite promues par le Leave No Trace, concernant la gestion adéquate des déchets organiques (papier de toilette, excréments humains, urine et eau de vaisselle), ne font pas l’unanimité et suscitent des réserves quant à leur application. En identifiant et décrivant la logique sous-jacente aux lignes de conduite et en analysant les études en fonction du contexte québécois, cet essai met en lumière la philosophie du programme afin de juger de la pertinence des lignes de conduite controversées en contexte québécois. Ainsi, des recommandations ont été émises en vue de mieux comprendre la gestion des déchets organiques promue par le Leave No Trace et d’en faciliter son application au Québec.
