Abstract
Les articles presentes dans cet ouvrage constituent la synthese des conferences donnees dans le cadre de l'Universite d'hiver sur l'environnement en milieu tropical qui s'est tenue a Saint-Denis (La Reunion) du 6 au 10 mai et a Antananarivo (Madagascar) du 11 au 16 mai 1993. L'ouvrage propose une reponse regionale a quelques-unes des recommandations essentielles du Sommet de la Terre (Rio de Janeiro, juin1992) : necessite de lier fortement protection de l'environnement et developpement economique, promotion de l'education, de l'information et de la formation des formateurs et du public. Les themes traites ont notamment ete : l'erosion des sols, les ecosystemes coralliens, les enjeux de la biodiversite et les strategies de conservation.
