Abstract

L’auteur se propose de contribuer à l’effort d’intégration de la pensée de Michel Foucault dans le champ des études en communication. Pour ce faire, il présente un passage de Surveiller et punir pouvant servir de modèle à l’examen d’un dispositif de pouvoir impliquant des technologies contemporaines d’information et de communication. Il précise cette notion en présentant le programme méthodologique et le cadre théorico-politique que Foucault met en avant pour procéder à l’examen d’un dispositif. Enfin, il souligne l’attribution par Foucault d’un rôle à la communication, soit celui de pivot permettant aux relations de pouvoir d’être effectives.
