Abstract
In this paper, Markus Dubber explores the integration of transnational materials into criminal law teaching. After discussing the widespread resistance to transnational perspectives in U.S. criminal law, Dubber sets out his contextual approach to comparative criminal law. He ends by highlighting specific examples of the use of comparative materials in criminal law teaching. This paper derived from presentations given at the AALS Workshop on Integrating Transnational Legal Perspectives Into the First Year Curriculum, Washington, D.C., January 4, 2006.
