Abstract
Antes de entrar en el tema del presente ensayo, me parece util dedicar dos palabras de presentacion a la Cronica Najerense. Fue editada por primera vez por G. Cirot en el Bulletin Hispanique de los anos 1909 y 1911, con el titulo de Chronique leonaise . Ramon Menendez Pidal, en un estudio de 1923, establecio que no era leonesa sino castellana, y muy afin al monasterio de Najera, llamandola por tanto Najerense y fechandola hacia 1160. Con la Najerense la historiografia deja de ser oficial y leonesa, para volver los ojos a Castilla.
