Abstract
<p>En este artículo, describimos al Canadá como potencia minera. A nivel doméstico, las leyes que rigen esta actividad son sumamente permisivas y las autoridades políticas proveen apoyos múltiples al sector. Por ello, calificamos a a jurisdicción canadiense de Mineralo-Estado, es decir un Estado que permite el enriquecimiento de una oligarquía minera poniendo el aparato estatal a su servicio.</p><p>Canadá, líder internacional del sector minero, busca difundir su modelo más allá de sus fronteras. En la Bolsa de Valores de Toronto, centenas de multinacionales encuentran una plataforma ideal para monitorear proyectos mineros que se realizan alrededor del Mundo. Un gran número de estos proyectos causan impunemente externalidades socio-económicas de gran magnitud. Estas multinacionales cuentan con un apoyo político, financiero y moral sostenido por parte del gobierno canadiense. Por todo ello, consideramos al Canadá un verdadero paraíso judicial para las empresas mineras.</p>
