Abstract
The author divides the chapter into 3 sections. First, the author situates the relationship approach in the context of a law reform agenda by describing briefly the experience and mandate of the Law Commission of Canada. The author then explores the idea of confidentiality as an aspect of human relationships to then critically asses the way in which the current legal framework understands the functions and role of confidentiality in human relationships.
