Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive overview of the concept of environmental governance and places this within the context of the Aarhus Convention, issues of standing, public participation intervenor funding, access to information and other criteria used to evaluate progress towards environmental good governance. Constraints on public participation and Indigenous participation in Australia, Canada and the South Pacific are compared and discussed.
