Abstract
L’effluent traite des eaux usees de la Ville de Montreal renferme divers derives d’origine anthropique, notamment des hormones et des detergents qui contiennent du nonylphenol. Les technologies actuelles ne permettent pas de traiter de tels effluents. Cet effluent agit-il comme perturbateur endocrinien? Quels sont les impacts ecotoxicologiques de cet effluent? L’analyse des caracteristiques de l’effluent porte a croire en son potentiel estrogenique. L’utilisation d’organismes bioindicateurs est un element cle dans le choix de la technologie de desinfection la plus efficace. L’ozone est susceptible de repondre a plusieurs problematiques environnementales mais le remplacement des coagulants du traitement primaire par le ferrate accentue les effets de l’ozone et reduit le dosage d’ozone requis pour atteindre les objectifs environnementaux de rejets.
