Abstract
The competent authorities of Canada and the United States entered into a memorandum of understanding on June 3, 2005 in respect of the mutual agreement provisions of the Canada-United States Tax Treaty. The author evaluates the memorandum of understanding and suggests further provisions to incorporate a mandatory arbitration procedure into the Canada-U.S. Tax Treaty.
