Abstract
The effects of Ni2+ in different concentration(5,10,20,50,100,130 mg/L) on activity and isozymo-grams of POD were investigated in wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) seedlings grown in hydroponics.The results showed that nickel treatment induced POD 1 to 5 and POD 10 activities in leaf increase,reduced POD 6 to 9 activities in leaf and all of POD isozymes activities in root of wheat seedlings.POD activity in leaf of nickel-treated wheat seedlings increased at the lower Ni2 + concentration and decreased at the higher Ni2 + concentra-tion,whereas POD activity decreased gradually with the increasing of Ni2 + concentration.
