Abstract
Hill's Pet Nutrition Canada Inc. is pleased to be able to offer veterinary students The Canadian Veterinary Journal (CVJ). This world-class journal is not only a great source of scientific information but the main news source for the veterinary profession at a national level. The CVJ allows students insight to the many facets of the veterinary profession and can help students focus on the type of career to choose. The people at Hill's are committed to the veterinary profession. In addition to free subscriptions to the Journal, Hill's Canada supports students and veterinary colleges in many ways. Hill's also supports scholarship and bursary programs at every school along with educational and promotional lectures. Programs may vary from school to school, but Hill's commitment is to provide helpful resources to allow students to reach their goals upon graduation. Each veterinary school has a Hill's student representative, who is fundamental in helping to decide on the programs or services that students would like to receive from the company. Hill's welcomes student feedback and input via these student representatives. Other services can be accessed during a student's life. Hill's 1-800-548-VETS line can be consulted for help with clinical cases in the final year or dietary information on products. Hill's Web site is a great source of clinical nutritional information. Hill's Pet Nutrition Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sherlyn Spooner as its new Veterinary Professional Educational Coordinator. Dr. Spooner has a background in small animal private practice specializing in small animal behavior. Her role is to ensure that the Hill's programs at the veterinary colleges bring the utmost in benefits for both students and Hill's. Hill's Pet Nutrition has over 50 years of commitment to research and innovation in companion animal nutrition. Hill's hopes to continue that partnership with students, the veterinarians of the future.
