Abstract
Il y a environ huit ans, la bibliothèque Paul-Émile-Boulet de l’Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) a adopté l’approche de la délocalisation, soit l’intégration physique d’un bibliothécaire dans un département universitaire. La délocalisation s’est imposée comme une solution pour se rapprocher des usagers. En s’intégrant au département, le bibliothécaire devient un membre de cette communauté, ce qui favorise la collaboration et les partenariats entre les deux milieux. Le présent article présente le principe de délocalisation tout en partageant l’expérience vécue à l’UQAC; il décrit l’implantation d’un projet de délocalisation, les freins communs à éviter et les défis à relever.
