Abstract
Face aux problèmes de santé au travail qui représentent un coût à la fois humain et financier, agir en amont sur les causes organisationnelles et managériales des troubles de santé constitue une urgence. La réforme de la médecine du travail intervenue en 2011 cherche précisément à promouvoir les actions pluridisciplinaires de prévention. Comment les médecins du travail se positionnent-ils par rapport à cette préconisation ? Cet article propose l’analyse approfondie de trois profils distincts de médecins du travail : les « biomédicaux », les « militants » et les « progressistes ». Ces profils sont loin d’être uniformément réceptifs à une évolution de leurs pratiques en faveur d’une médecine préventive. La formation des médecins du travail, le management des services de santé au travail (SST) ainsi que le management des entreprises méritent d’être repensés en vue de faciliter cette dynamique de prévention.
