Abstract

O objetivo do presente estudo foi levantar a prevalência da lombalgia em costureiras de moda í­ntima do municí­pio de Nova Friburgo e relacionar com fatores psicossociais. Foi utilizado um questionário epidemiológico, auto-aplicável, adaptado do Questionário de Quebec Back Pain Disability Scale, dando-se ênfase às perguntas sobre dor lombar, idade, estado civil, freqüência de atividade fí­sica, horas de trabalho e fatores psicossociais. A amostra foi constituí­da de 200 costureiras, das quais 53% estavam na faixa etária de32 a45 anos de idade, 30% entre 17 e 31 e 17% entre 46 e 63. Conclui-se que a lombalgia é uma realidade de grande prevalência (61%) e freqüência em trabalhadoras da costura e se mostra relacionada í natureza feminina, í prática de atividade fí­sica, í postura sentada, í dupla jornada da mulher e a fatores psicossociais, como o isolamento e o sedentarismo.Palavras-chave: lombalgia, fatores psicossociais, costureiras, trabalho.
