espanolEn la actualidad, las diferentes tecnicas disponibles para la excavacion de tuneles proporcionan herramientas suficientes a los ingenieros para disenar y ejecutar infraestructuras complejas en subterraneo minimizando el impacto al entorno. Para el proyecto del metro ligero de Ottawa, que incluye el diseno y construccion 2,5 km de tuneles y tres estaciones ejecutadas en caverna, la ciudad eligio la opcion de excavacion en mina a lo largo del centro de la ciudad. El articulo describe el enfoque y las soluciones empleadas en este proyecto. EnglishMined tunnels provide the tools to deliver complex underground infrastructures while minimizing the disturbance to the surroundings. For Confederation Line, Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit project which includes 2.5 km of running tunnel and three cavern stations, the city choose the mined option through the downtown core. The paper gives the conceptual approach and solutions of this megaproject.
