Abstract
Stellen Sie sich eine Stadt vor, die etwa doppelt so groß ist wie München und jährlich 90 000 Einwanderer aufnimmt. Schnell denkt man an teure Integrationsprogramme, die eigens für Menschen ausländischer Herkunft geschaffen werden müssen. Doch dieser Vortrag zeigt, wie die öffentliche Bibliothek von Toronto diese Aufgabe mit Engagement, Leidenschaft und sehr viel Einfühlungsvermögen übernimmt, indem sie unterschiedliche ethnische Gruppen nicht nur bedient, sondern ihnen Hilfestellungen in allen Lebenslagen bietet.
