Abstract
O presente artigo de investigaçao analisa a fundaçao e a expansao do Instituto Ethos, uma organizaçao sem fins lucrativos que tem contribuido na criaçao e desenvolvimento da infraestrutura necessaria para promover a responsabilidade social empresarial (SER) no Brasil. Entre 1998 e 2008, o Instituto Ethos reuniu a mais de 1.200 pequenas, medias e grandes empresas com o objetivo de ajudá-las a administrar seus negocios de uma maneira socialmente responsavel no Brasil. Estas empresas atualmente representam aproximadamente 35% do PIB no Brasil e empregam ao redor de 2 milhoes de pessoas.Os resultados desta investigaçao sugerem que o Ethos conseguiu difundir a SER aplicando Uma perspectiva baseada no uso do desvio positivo no mundo dos negocios no Brasil. O artigo contribui aos debates sobre RSE a partir da identificaçao de um mecanismo de difusao da RSE utilizando um modelo de desvio positivo.
