El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo proponer un sistema de incubadora de empresas en la Universidad Católica Los Ángeles de Chimbote, el cual contribuya al desarrollo de las microempresas de Chimbote, 2014. En ese sentido, se realizó un diagnóstico situacional de las microempresas de Chimbote, a través de la aplicación de encuestas para identificar y afrontar las limitantes más relevantes que influyen en el desarrollo de las microempresas, mediante la propuesta de un sistema de incubadora de empresas. La investigación concluye que existe un predominio de empresas de tipo familiar. Por una parte las que presentan mayores limitaciones para mantenerse en el mercado son las de tipo personal; por otra parte, las limitantes que tienen mayor relevancia en las microempresas en su sostenibilidad en el mercado son el acceso a la capacitación y al financiamiento, así como para luego diversificarse y posicionarse en el mercado. En ese contexto, se propone un sistema de incubadora de empresas en la Uladech Católica, el cual plantea una metodología para superar las limitaciones más relevantes.
