Abstract
L'auteure examine certaines dispositions de la législation canadienne sur l'immigration qui lui paraissent particulièrement propres à faire ressortir la manière dont les immigrants clandestins, en fonction de leur perception des règles qui les touchent, établissent des stratégies pour demeurer au Canada. Après avoir présenté les mesures pertinentes successivement mises en oeuvre depuis les années 1970, elle résume, à l'aide d'extraits d'entrevue, l'expérience vécue par vingt migrants illégaux.
