Abstract
e 02/10/2003 no pr-operatrio e seguidos por seis meses. Foram utilizados questionrios semi-estruturados, dirios de cefalia e as escalas Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (ansiedade e depresso), Epworth (sonolncia diurna), SF-36 (qualidade de vida) e McGill. Cirurgies-dentistas avaliaram a presena de disfuno temporomandibular no ps-operatrio. RESULTADOS: Foram includos 79 pacientes com idade mdia de 45,3 anos, 64,6% do sexo feminino, e 72 concluram o seguimento. Foram realizadas 87 craniotomias (89,7% pterionais, 4,6% frontais e 5,8% fronto-rbito-zigomticas). A cefalia ps-cirrgica ocorreu em 91,1% dos casos, a maioria com incio precoce (mediana= 4 dias) e significativamente mais precoce naqueles com cefalia e hemorragia subaracnidea na avaliao pr-operatria. Houve mudanas de diagnsticos, lado e local da cefalia do pr para o ps-operatrio que se mantiveram por todo este perodo. A freqncia de cefalia: aumentou em mdia 14 dias (mediana=1) no primeiro trimestre do ps-operatrio em relao ao trimestre anterior cirurgia e continuou em mdia, 6,9 dias (mediana=0) mais alta no segundo trimestre; diminuiu em mdia 7,9 dias (mediana=1) dos primeiros para os ltimos 3 meses de acompanhamento. Esse comportamento no sofreu influncia da hemorragia subaracnidea. Houve correlao positiva da freqncia de cefalia com a intensidade dos sintomas depressivos e ansiosos. A cefalia no segundo trimestre do ps-operatrio relacionou-se significativamente disfuno temporomandibular.
