The article discusses some problems arising in the process of interaction between police of different countries, such as: development of effective strategies and tactics of crime control, personnel training aimed at combating transnational crimes, issues of professional socialization, improvement of legal awareness and professional culture of police officers, and others. The author considers the activities of the police of France, the USA, the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Canada, Japan and other countries as having not only theoretical, but also practical value in the context of activities of the Russian police.
