This paper presents a comparative study of a Fuzzy Model Reference Self-Tuning Controller (FMRSTC) algorithm with two major fuzzy adaptation algorithms. These two algorithms are the Fuzzy Model Reference Control (FMRLC), and the Fuzzy Self-Tuning Control (FSTC). Simulations and real time implementation using induction motor speed control system have been performed for the algorithms performance comparison. The field oriented control technique is used in both simulation and implementation.
