Abstract
Cette synthèse a pour objet de présenter les axes thématiques et les différents éléments de discussion qui ont été dégagés au cours du séminaire commun «Mémoires historiques d'ici et d'ailleurs : regards croisés», organisé par la Chaire de Recherche du Canada en histoire comparée de la mémoire de l'université Laval à Québec (Québec, Canada), l'EHESS et le CEVIPOF. Cette synthèse s'attache au premier terme du titre du séminaire, celui de « Postcolonie », car il a fait l'objet de débats critiques au cours de nos rencontres. L'un des points de cristallisation du débat a tourné autour de la conception spécifique de la temporalité des pays concernés, temporalité liée au seul moment colonial et à son « après ». Le séminaire a permis de démêler à certains niveaux ces questions complexes des dynamiques mémorielles présentes dans leur rapport avec les passés coloniaux et la « postcolonie ».
