Abstract
Tamara Madej (Pomeroy) trained as an anaesthetist in Leeds. She had been as a clinical student at the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford from 1976 to 1979, one of only a few women on the course. It was here that Tamara discovered her love of anaesthetics. She was a keen and hardworking student but also enjoyed life with dancing, music, cooking, and expeditions.
