This research work was to determine the knowledge of sexual and reproductive health among adolescents in the Shuar ethnic group Tuntiak, Canton Centinela del Condor quarter 2015. The research design was observational, prospective, transversal, descriptive, bibliographical and field. As a technical survey of the 35 teenagers Shuar used. The results allowed to obtain the following demographic characteristics of the study population, the 62.86% are women, are at a level of incomplete secondary education with 80% and an age range of 13-15 years 45.71%. Knowledge about sexual and reproductive health was determined that; 62.85% do not know the aspects of reproductive health, 74.29% do not know the sexual and reproductive rights, 68.57% also ignore the rights for people with different sexual orientation, 45.71% know the definition sex, 65.71% know that it is gender, 37.14% believed that physical changes begin at age 12, with 36.55% know the voice change in the man and the 33.33% presence of menstruation, 60% are unaware of sexually transmitted infections, the 59.09% recognize that they acquire by sex, 29.50% know HIV, 38.70% stated that the consequence of not treating a sexually transmitted infection is death, 68.57% do not know how to protect themselves from sexually transmitted infections, 51.43% if they know that family planning is the 51.43% if they know contraceptive methods and 31.57 % know the condom.
