Abstract
The article dwells on the historical and cultural peculiarities of theArgentinean poetical picture of the world of the end of the XIX – the first halfof the XX century. The division of the development of the Argentinean artisticand poetic process into two periods is offered: the traditional (the end of theXIX – the first quarter of the XX century) and new (the second quarter of theXX century). The particular attention is paid at the study of the specific featuresof the verbalization in the poetry the concepts PAMPA and CITY.
