Abstract
The article discusses drawings by American artist Robert Henry featured at the International Exhibition of Modern Art of 1913, also called the Armory Show. The author suggests that works on paper by American artists were not as adequately recorded as paintings and works by European artists. The author suggests that Drawing no. 838 is the 1904 drawing Where We Dined in the Latin Quarter Paris, in 1896, rediscovered in a collection acquired by the Delaware Art Museum due to information on its original mat and backing. The author discusses how the drawing's depiction of Europe suggests that Americans were no longer dependent on European art.
