Abstract
Des releves de temperature enregistres a l?interieur des buttes de terre et dans les entre-rangs ont permis de decrire les variations de temperatures pres des bourgeons fructiferes et dans la zone racinaire du Vitis vinifera L. var. Melon, durant la saison froide 1994-1995 dans un vignoble pres de Sherbrooke, Quebec. Les resultats montrent que le buttage, sous au moins 15 cm de terre, permet de conserver les bourgeons latents de la vigne a des temperatures superieures au seuil de tolerance au froid fixes par les exothermes de Leddet (-13°C) et ce, en presence ou non du couvert nival. En fait, la temperature minimale atteinte dans la zone des bourgeons n?a jamais ete inferieure a -2°C et ce, meme si les temperatures minimales de l?air ont atteint -33°C.
